New Year Craft: Heavenly Angel

Heavenly Angel

You will need:

Blue tissue paper- 9 inches* 8 inches (23 centimeters * 20 centimeters)
White cardstock- 9 inches * 8 inches (23 centimeters * 20 centimeters)
Spray adhesive
Square of pale pink silk- 3 ½ inches (9 centimeters)
9 Pale blue glass beads- 1/16 inches (2 millimeters)
Wooden beads- 2 pink
2 pieces of 1/8 inches (3 millimeters) pink ribbon, 2 inches (5 centimeters) long.
Double sided tape.
Square of decorative net- 2 ½ inches (6 centimeters)
5 inches (13 centimeters) long gold cord- 2 pieces
1/8 inches glass beads- 10
Flat backed bead- 5/8 inches (15 millimeters)
Superglue

How to do:

Use spray adhesive to attach the tissue paper onto the white cardstock. Make a card of 8 inches * 4 ½ inches (20 centimeters * 11.5 centimeters) by folding in the center.
See the templates to trace the angel body shape. Then transfer on top of the pale pink silk. Use sewing machine and white thread. Follow the sketch with a close, narrow zigzag stitch. Make sure that you don’t cut the stitching while trimming out with scissors.
Stitch the pale blue seed beads in a crisscross pattern on the base of the body. Tie off securely after pulling the thread across the back of the fabric.
To make legs, Use glue to attach the pink beads to one end of every ribbon. Use double sided tape to attach the legs to the back of the body. After that, use the spray adhesive once again to stick the body to the card.
Cut the wing out from the fabric. Templates will guide you. Use superglue to stick the wing in three places. Flat-backed bead has to be attached in the right place for the head.
Glue the end of one piece of gold cord on the inside of the card ½ inches (12 millimeters) from the top. Extend the cord crossways at the top of the card and over onto the back once it is stuck. Glue in place. Attach five clear beads beneath the cord. They should be evenly spaced across the card.
Repeat step 6 at the bottom of the card but you have to position the beads above the cord.
