| Passover is the Jewish festival celebrating the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt. The history of Passover relates back to over 3,000 years ago and commemorates the miraculous escape of the Jews near the Red Sea from the clutches of the Egyptian Pharaoh, Rameses II who after initially freeing them, had sent his army afterwards so that they could be brought back and be made slaves again. Moses, who looked after the cause of the Jews, with divine assistance, managed to release them from Ramases. Traditionally celebrated for 8 days (7 for Reform Jews), Passover always begins on the 15th day of the Hebrew month of Nisan. To step up the celebrations, we have brought here a fabulous section on Passover.
