This is another cool craft for Valentine's Day. You can
also wear them in parties, or special meet like with school friends with
school logo on them. Just use your creativity, and you would be having fun
in making them again and again.
You will need:
Salt Dough (The instructions
are given here)
A piece of card
Rolling pin
Varnish
Biscuit Cutter (optional)
Baking Tray
Adult Supervision
Roll out
a large piece of salt dough to about 1cm (1/2in) thick. Using a heart shaped
biscuit cutter (or you can male an outline and cut it with a kitchen knife)
cut out five hearts. Place the hearts on a baking tray lined with parchment
paper and bake them in the oven for about four hours at 120degree C/250
degree F/Gas 1/2.
Ask an adult
to remove the tray from the oven using oven gloves & to transfer the
hardened shapes to the cooling rack. When cool, smooth the edges with sandpaper
then paint the hearts in lots of bright colors. When dry, apply a coat of
varnish.
Cut a strip
of card 20cmX 5cm (8" X 2"). Check that it will fit easily over
your wrist before gluing the ends.
Glue the
hearts on to the bracelet, holding them in place until the glue sets.
