Poems for Love

TO DIANE MY BELOVED WIFE

My beloved Diane, blessed with beauty, brains and grace that cause the beat of grown men's hearts to skip and race. With all her gifts and talents, she has never seeked fortune or fame, she has remained ever humble, for, ego is not in her game.

Never naughty, never bold, she possesses a heart filled of 100% gold. And ever ready and willing to assist young and old. Pure of mind, body and soul and a heart that's ever warm, never cold, who's commpasion for the sick and needy cannot be purchased or sold. For you see, she is the author of the book of love, and her ideals are as pristine, pure and as white as any dove so, as read each each chapter and verse you will all better understand how to better converse. For diane, you have taught us how to love, respect, and how to treat each other when it comes to push or shove. My beloved wife diane, you will ever remain, my one and only true love."

Paris will always belong to lovers

Peering down upon elegant boulevards from the Arc de Triomphe
lovers strolling along the Champs-Élysées
imaginary strings, chords and sounds of violins begin to play,
what more can one say.
A romantic cruise on the Seine,
lovers kissing along her bank,
roses later bought for his sweetheart, for a Franc.
The sight of Notre Dame, sets young lovers hearts aflame.
Hilltop view looking out toward the city from the Sacre Coeur,
tourists in Montmartre shopping while on tour.
The panorama of Paris atop the Eiffel Tower cause lovers hearts to skip a beat,
the magnificence and grandeur of the city sets one’s heart asunder,
as surely as a lightning bolt, always follows thunder.
Leisurely walks along rue Pigalle,
catching the can-can at the Moulin Rouge.
Days spent at galleries and museums and when Mona Lisa looks your way at the Louvre.
Two hearts will be moved in sync as Mona Lisa smiles and winks two hearts beat as one.
For, her smile will never fail to touch and move for,
Paris will always belong to lovers.

You Can

You can banish all our pain along with cloudy days of rain.
You can turn around a derailed life from colliding with a train.
You can turn one's life into a thousand sweet refrains.
You can shower us with rays of sunshine, light and hope
when we have truly come to the end of our rope.
You can make the sun rise and set on distant shore.
You can provide us with the self esteem and confidence that we never had before. You can raise us up to impossible heights, from the lowest of depths.
You can inspire us to begin a journey of renewal of a thousand steps.
You can turn a lonesome and mundane life into
fun. You can make the lost and despondent feel that
victory over life's trials and tribulations have been been won.
You can turn a dark cloudy day into a bright midday sun.
You can make a frisky puppy teach the "old new tricks"
You can make that same cuddly puppy warm the coldest of hearts
with a few wet and well-placed licks.
You can make a loving child turn someone's tears to
smiles, you can spread your love and miracles over
endless miles.
"You can!"

My Deepest Feelings

I wish I had someone beside me
who always make me happy and I can feel warmth of love
I wish I could find.....
Actually I have found, but....
because of one and another reason, I can’t tell ....
I can’t express it....
I just bury it in the deepest of my heart ....
I love but I’m injured....
someday, may be someday I can openly express it...
when the sun rises in the west ....
when I come into the heaven ....
someday...and someday.... just waiting for someone....

SHE IS AT REST

Tread lightly, she is near
Under the snow,
Speak gently, she can hear
The daisies grow.
All her bright golden hair
Tarnished with rust,
She that was young and fair
Fallen to dust.
Lily-like, white as snow,
She hardly knew
She was a woman, so
Sweetly she grew.
Coffin-board, heavy stone,
Lie on her breast,
I vex my heart alone,
She is at rest.
Peace, Peace, she cannot hear
Lyre or sonnet,
All my life's buried here,
Heap earth upon it.

MY LOVE

Love we my love and live we our day,
While all stern sayings crabbed sages say,
At one doit's value let us price and prize!
The Suns can westward sink again to rise
But we, extinguished once our tiny light,
Perforce shall slumber through one lasting night!
Kiss me a thousand times, then hundred more,
Then thousand others, then a new five-score,
Still other thousand other hundred store.
Last when the sums to many thousands grow,
The tale let's trouble till no more we know,
Nor envious wight despiteful shall misween us
Knowing how many kisses have been kissed between us.

A GARDEN BY THE SEA

I know a little garden-close,
Set thick with lily and red rose,
Where I would wander if I might
From dewy morn to dewy night,
And have one with me wandering.
And though within it no birds sing,
And though no pillared house is there,
And though the apple-boughs are bare
Of fruit and blossom, would to God
Her feet upon the green grass trod,
And I beheld them as before.
There comes a murmur from the shore,
And in the close two fair streams are,
Drawn from the purple hills afar,
Drawn down unto the restless sea:
Dark hills whose heath-bloom feeds no bee,
Dark shore no ship has ever seen,
Tormented by the billows green
Whose murmur comes unceasingly
Unto the place for which I cry.
For which I cry both day and night,
For which I let slip all delight,
Whereby I grow both deaf and blind,
Careless to win, unskilled to find,
And quick to lose what all men seek.
Yet tottering as I am and weak,
Still have I left a little breath
To seek within the jaws of death
An entrance to that happy place,
To seek the unforgotten face,
Once seen, once kissed, once reft from me
Anigh the murmuring of the sea.

My Love

I Know Still You Don't Feel Anything About Me
You Don't Care About My Love
But I'm Sure One Day You Come To Me
You Also Feel The Emptyness
Which I'm Feeling Without You..
But May Be Its Became To Late, May Be I'm Not Here For You
I have Only one Dream... & only one wish :)
To Be Only Yours..but I know I never be with You*
I can't Live without You*, But I Want to die with You*
Just Want to spend few moments Of happiness with You*
But its Only My wish..
May Be My Funeral Fire Also Goes Silent ♥
But My Heart Still Beats For You...!!

Can We Be The Best of Lovers?

"Can we be the best of lovers, not just friends? Just like in a romantic movie where strangers
fall in love before the picture ends.
And like the two lovers upon the silver screen, i hope out friendship turns into reality, not just a dream. and before the film
fades to black and the final curtain falls, my heart and soul want so
much to believe, that we too can become the best of lovers before we leave.
But, I am well aware even a wise man, can delude himself and self deceive.
So, here's hoping my wish is granted before the reel comes to it's end and that we too can become, the best of lovers, not just friends?

All I Really Need is You

All I really need is you.
don't care for sleek and fancy jets
and Italian sport cars,
the hollywood glitterati and movie stars
vacations at world class resorts and spas.
All I really need is you.
I can take or leave sailing to
exotic destinations on luxurious yachts,
cocktails with the jet set and super smart.
All I really need is you.
I have no desire to own a masterpiece
or any other great work of art,
purchased from auction houses bid and sold, exquisite pieces of jewelry
dripping with diamonds and gold.
All I really need is you.
I'm not interested in a chalet
nestled on a swiss ski resort,
or sailing on a luxury liner
to every foreign port,
that would be my last resort.
All I really need is you.
Soaking up the sun is not my idea of fun,
if truth be told,
the south pacific islands leave me cold,
diving for sunken caribbean treasures,
i'm not so bold.
For I have my pirate's bounty right here at home,
and I have no need to ever roam.
All I really need is you.

ONCE

(An anniversary poem)
I KNEW ONCE A BONNY OLD SOUL.
THE SUN AT DAWN, BORN ANEW,
NEVER ROSE NOR SHYLY STOLE
EVENING’S CLOAK BEFORE HER CUE.
ONES LIKE SHE LIKE AURAS CARRY
THOSE IMPISH ENERGIES OF THE AGES.
SO THIS DREAMER QUEENE I DID MARRY
TO WRITE MY LIFE ON HER BLANK PAGES.
AND THOUGH I LIVE A MORTAL LIFE,
AMONG THE LONESOME AND AUTUMNAL,
TO GLANCE JUST ONCE UPON MY WIFE,
LIKE OUR LOVE, I AM ETERNAL.
ONE YEAR DOWN, MY BONNY OLD SOUL,
AND AFTER IT ALL I NEVER KNEW
MY BONNY BLACK ROSE, THAT SKYWARD STOLE,
WOULD ASK THE GODS TO TRY FOR TWO.

Since

(A Wedding Poem)
Since the early dawn of time
When primeval poets invented rhyme
You have been what drive them mad—
Never a sweeter sickness has man had.
So, since you are here, please indulge
This bliss-bound bard while I divulge
Since when, and why, and how my dear
I’ve known my love for you is sincere.
When I was young, but only ten,
I met a girl whose heart was crystalline,
Shimmering and shining on all she knew.
Livya, that little girl was you!
When life threw at you Up’s and Down’s
You took each the same with very few frowns.
Your heart, I found, was diamond throughout:
A hard, but heavenly, gem I knew I could not do without.
Since those days you’ve grown to be
The friend, the inspiration that proves to me
I do not have to break a glass
Or jump a broom
To know I want to be your groom
Lord, our God, look down I pray
Upon what we create this day.
And, if asked to throw in my two cents
Forevermore I’ll say it is…
Since the early dawn of time,
When primeval poets invented rhyme
That you have been what drive them mad—
Never a sweeter sickness has any man had.

The Two Who Wish To Be One

(A wedding poem)
Love was never wrong nor right.
A decision made by Man could not have ever earned an audience like this.
I have seen Love pass by those in need of rest, in need of sleep.
I have seen him, Love, accost two souls needy and in need of food, in need of drink.
I have seen him nod and walk away somewhere—
Somewhere he might find two souls needing each other, needing to be One.
And there, at the feet of two who together are far greater that even he, Love,
A voice, not heard in the ears, but only in the heart of the two who wish to be one—
That voice, their voice, acclaims that,
"Love is never wrong nor right!
Love is but a creature in the night
That sees not the snares set to catch it or
The pain left for it to graze upon. No,
Love is a creature who moves to prove if only it might
That Love is never wrong, but always right!"

You Gotta Give to Get

(An anniversary poem)
They say you’ve gotta Give to Get,
You have to Love to Let
Them go and let them show
That no one else they’ve ever met
Can know the love they know.
How long will we last? Wanna make a bet?
Our names aren’t even written on the towels yet.
And I don’t think we’ll ever be so
Caught all up in life’s ebb and flow
That we do anything we might later regret.
So, Go on Girl! And never forget
Your smile makes me high, like the mountains in Tibet.
If we keep on giving and letting Love grow
No one can tell how high we can go.
‘Cause nothing in life is ever really set –
From rags in Rich’s to the cover of Jet.

The Night Was Made For Romance

The night was made for romance.
In the night our two hearts dance.
Under the stars our lips touch.
In the garden your embrace means so much.
The night was made for love.
Our hearts cooing like a white dove.
Your eyes sparkling like diamonds so white.
I love you darling with all my might.
The night was made for caring and trust.
And darling, God made this night for us.

Only Love

Love can sometimes be fresh.
Love can sometimes be new.
Love can sometimes make you happy.
And sometimes make you blue.
Love is the light that radiates from your eyes.
Love is your image floating in the skies.
Love is true.
And darling, the only love for me is you.
By: Lamar Cole

Our Love

As long as there is love, I will cherish you.
As long as there is life, I will love you.
As long as the stars shine above, I will want you.
As long as there are waves in the ocean, I will need you.
As long as there is heaven above, there will always be our love.

Is it really love?

Is it really love?
or is it just a passing feeling
am I not convinced?
a bit uncertain of the feeling
Is it the way you make me feel?
so warm with joy and laughter
or could it be the happiness
from moments spent together
The lasting bliss, the kiss I miss,
The sweetest thoughts without a touch
The heart that hurts and bears a scar
thinking how far away you are
You're on my mind most of the day
And at night I go to bed and pray
An angel soft and gentle as you
Would make my sweetest dreams come true
Thinking about you alone or in class
Writing your name on my bathroom window glass
Wishing you were here
To love hold and care
Wishing I had you with me
To cherish and to stare
Into your soft and beautiful eyes
As we both travel to the skies
And mingle with the stars above
But is it really love?

a day of love

Valentine's Day is a day of love
Where love is as bright as the sun
We share kisses, and even a hug
With people we call our loved ones
Unrequited love is oh! so harsh
When the one you love doesn't love you
You feel you're left standing in the dark
Wishing this reality were untrue
Well that's why Valentine's Day is so great
It encourages you to show you care
It makes you just wanna say
I love you and will always be there
I once loved someone in this way
And I was encouraged on Valentine's
I went up to him, just to say
I would like you to be mine

December 22-23, 2004

I woke up in a white room
with white lace curtains.
Snow covered landscape;
I'm in Memphis for certain
Yesterday, it took over three hours
just to travel the last twenty miles.
But nothing is like my wife's family
always being greeted with smiles
I was hoping for a White Christmas.
You'd be surprise how simple I am.
Be careful what you wish for
God may be listening to your plan.
Most of the nation is covered
with that dangerous and beautiful thing
I am grateful for arriving safely
for my wife's happiness is everything.
She wanted to see her family,
her father, uncles and aunts.
I've kept her in Southwest Texas too long;
this trip I most willingly grant.
So, here we are now
in a snowy southern wonderland.
Waiting for Christmas dinner to come;
a present only my wife can understand
