Halloween Tuna Spooks Recipe with Frosting Recipe

Frosting | Tuna Spooks

Frosting

Ingredients:

1 16-ounce box powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Pinch of salt
3 to 4 tablespoons milk
1 8-ounce package miniature chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Take half of the sugar and add the vanilla, salt and 2 tablespoons of the milk. Mix well.
  2. Now add the remaining sugar and mix again.
  3. Add as much of the remaining milk as you need to reach the desired consistency for spreading. Spread the Frosting on each cookie until it is totally white and looks like a ghost.
  4. For eyes, use two chocolate chips on each of the cookies.
  5. Makes 2 dozen.

Tuna Spooks

Ingredients:

2 8-ounce cans white tuna, packed in water
3 tablespoons mayonnaise or plain yogurt
1/2 teaspoon curry powder
1 tablespoon honey mustard
20 slices wheat bread, crust removed
Whipped cream cheese
Black olive slices for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Mix the tuna, mayonnaise, curry powder, and mustard in a medium bowl.
  2. Cut the bread slices with a cookie cutter shapes like a ghost, bat, pumpkin or gingerbread man.
  3. Spread 10 slices with the tuna mixture and cover with the second slice of bread.
  4. Now spread the top of each "spook" with cream cheese.
  5. Use 2 slices of olives to make eyes on each.
  6. Makes 10 sandwiches.
